Hey there. I know it's been too long since I shared anything here, but as usual, life happened. However, as part of my New Year's resolution, I vowed to revive this blog, given that I have an obscene number of food photos on my phone waiting to find a home somewhere, lolz. Anyway, getting right into it, this is an update post, talking a little about the direction I want to take with this blog and future content.
The one thing most people keep asking me is "what do you eat?" It's a question that sort of makes me laugh but I understand that those asking usually just want to know how eating 'meat and fats' has helped me lose weight. I have been doing this my own way and pretty much winging it as I go along. I research a lot and keep reading more about Intermittent Fasting and Keto. As I learn more, I have also been adjusting my meals but at the same time making sure that I am balancing it out with workouts to reach my fitness goals.

I am a thrift addict and to be honest, a cheapskate. If there's any money to be saved off of anything you best believe that I am taking up that offer. That's how I ended up stumbling on the Kenchic soup pack, and yes, I'll just give them a shoutout because they have literally sorted me when my pockets are slim and I have a craving for chicken. The soup pack has a couple of chicken back pieces, necks, and thigh bones. I'd like to show you how I try to spruce them up and make a meal out of them.
The one thing most people always ask me is to share my keto meal plan. Now, I just have to keep repeating this: I am not a dietitian or even an expert on this WOE. I came up with my own meal plan that I stuck with religiously for the first three weeks of keto. I am happy to share it with you, and of course, you can always make adjustments and come up with your own customized one.
The first time I made scotch eggs was when I worked at the Kakuma Refugee Camp. I remember that I had to leave out and substitute several ingredients. My colleagues loved them, and I also loved them too. I had a craving for them today, and just a reminder, I am currently following the Keto WOE (Way Of Eating), which meant that I had to adapt it to suit my dietary needs. I definitely will be making these a lot now, I enjoyed them and so did my non-keto family who obviously had to try some too.
I realized quite early on, when I also discovered my love for cooking, that I enjoy making anything that involves dough. It all started with my love for chapatis, I can literally make them in 15 minutes, I kid you not. That doughy mix of goodness, I don't know who invented it, but God bless you and your entire clan! I digress, but needless to say, I enjoy cooking anything that requires me to play around with dough. That's how I set out to learn how to make samosas.
